Terms of service

The agreement for using Bifrost during the pilot phase — written to be read, not skimmed past.

Version 0.1 · 14 July 2026 · Items in [square brackets] are being finalised and will be completed before pilot agreements are signed.

1. Who we are

Bifrost is operated by [Matsobi legal entity name and form], registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number [KvK number], with its registered office at [address], the Netherlands ("Bifrost", "we", "us"). You can reach us via the contact page or at [contact email].

2. The pilot phase

Bifrost is an early product, currently offered as a free pilot. That has consequences we state plainly:

  • The service is provided free of charge for the duration of the pilot.
  • There are no uptime or availability guarantees during the pilot.
  • Features may change as we learn from pilot users; we will not remove your data.
  • You will never be moved to a paid plan without your explicit agreement. If paid plans are introduced, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and the choice to export your data and leave at no cost.

3. Your account

You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your credentials confidential. Accounts are personal: one account per person, no shared logins. You are responsible for activity under your account. Company administrators manage who on their team has access and with which roles.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for unlawful purposes or to store unlawful content;
  • attempt to breach, probe or circumvent security measures or access other companies' data;
  • place deliberately excessive load on the service or interfere with its operation;
  • resell or provide the service to third parties without our written consent.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, after warning where reasonable.

5. Your data

  • You own your data. Everything your team enters into Bifrost remains yours.
  • We process it only to provide the service, as described in the data processing agreement and the privacy statement.
  • We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train machine-learning models.
  • We do not look at your data except with your permission for support purposes, or where the law requires it.
  • You can request a full export of your data at any time during the pilot.

6. Demo environments

Demo environments created via "Try the demo" are sandboxes: they are automatically and permanently deleted after 48 hours. Do not put real business data in a demo.

7. Availability and support

We provide support by email on a best-effort basis. Maintenance may occasionally interrupt the service; we aim to announce planned maintenance in advance. No service level agreement applies during the pilot.

8. Intellectual property

The Bifrost software, design and documentation are and remain our property. If you give us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the product without owing you compensation — feedback is the currency of the pilot, and we say so openly.

9. Liability

Bifrost is provided free of charge during the pilot. To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, our total liability for damages arising from or related to the pilot use of the service is limited to direct damages up to [€ 500]. We are not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, lost profit or lost data, except where damage results from our intent or deliberate recklessness (opzet of bewuste roekeloosheid) — which Dutch law rightly does not allow anyone to exclude.

10. Term and termination

Either party may end pilot participation at any time, without notice period or penalty. After termination you have 30 days to export your data; we then delete it as described in the data processing agreement.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and the pilot evolve. For material changes we will notify account holders by email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the notice period counts as acceptance; if you disagree, you can terminate and export per section 10.

12. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in [Amsterdam], the Netherlands.
